Description

FistDamage

Requested mod that makes your fists configurable in How to Fish. Damage, reach, hit radius, and the shove a punch gives whatever it lands on.

Client side. The game computes punch damage locally and forwards it to the host, so the host does not need the mod - but nothing stops other players from having their own values.

Configuration

Azumatt.FistDamage.cfg, editable while the game is running - the file watcher reloads it and the next punch uses the new values. Every setting also shows up in ConfigurationManager.

Setting Vanilla Range What it does
Enabled On On / Off Turn the mod off without unloading it. Punches go back to vanilla.
Damage 3 0 - 99999 Damage a punch deals.
Range 1.5 0.1 - 20 How far a punch reaches.
Hit Radius 0.5 0.01 - 5 Spherecast radius used to find an item to punch. Bigger is more forgiving aim.
Force 100 0 - 5000 Push applied to a punched item. Players and boats use the game's own force values and are unaffected.
Hit Offset Distance 0.15 0 - 2 Pulls the hit point back toward you to keep the fist out of whatever it hit.

The defaults are the values off the player prefab, so a fresh installation changes nothing until you edit something.

The server's One Shot setting still overrides Damage - that path hardcodes 99999.
